1 Scope

This standard specifies the equipment and procedures required to determine the performance of the specimen under cyclic loading.

This standard applies to building insulation products.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Thickness

The original thickness of the specimen.

Compressive stress sigmac the ratio of the compressive load to the initial cross-sectional area of the specimen.

sigmamin. the lower limit of pressure under a cyclic load;

sigmamax. the upper limit of pressure under a cyclic load.

Deformation the difference between the thickness of the specimen between Xi, max and Xi, min.

Xi, min The thickness of the specimen at the lower limit of pressure under i cyclic loading;

Xi, max The thickness of the specimen at the upper limit of the pressure at i under cyclic loading.

Relative deformation the ratio of the thickness of the specimen to the thickness in the direction of the load is expressed as a percentage.
