Scope

GB/T 32910.2-2017 is the English-translated version of 数据中心资源利用第2部分：关键性能指标设置要求.

GB/T 32910.2-2017 sets out how key performance indicators for a data centre are to be established.

As Part 2 of GB/T 32910 it first defines the boundary of the data centre, its physical extent and the equipment inside it, then gives the general requirements for key performance indicators, the way an indicator is described, the use made of it, and worked examples.

It defines data centre energy consumption, data centre energy efficiency, data centre resource utilization key performance, the data centre key performance indicator and data centre resource efficiency.

Annexes present power usage efficiency EEUE and the renewable energy factor REF. It applies to the specification and building of indicators covering the whole life of a data centre, from design and construction to operation and maintenance. It was issued on 31 July 2017 and has applied since 1 February 2018.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 32910 defines the data center boundaries, provides the key performance indicators (KPI) set requirements, description methods, with En route, and gives examples of KPIs.

This section applies to the specification of the data center life cycle (including design, construction, operation and maintenance and other stages) key performance indicators described And build.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Data center energy consumption

The total amount of energy actually consumed by data center equipment or systems over a period of time.

NOTE: The energy sources mentioned in this section generally convert the energy consumed by the equipment or system into electric energy for unitary calculation in kW · h.

3.2 Data center energy efficiency

The ratio of energy output to input in a data center.

Note: The above energy can be converted into electricity for unified calculation.

3.3 Data Center Resource Utilization Key Performance

A series of data accurately reflect the performance of the data center on the utilization of resources.

3.4 Data center key performance indicators

A measure of the utilization of one or more system resources in the data center.

3.5 Data center resource efficiency

The ratio of system or device output to the corresponding resource consumption in a data center.

Note: When calculating resource efficiency, you may be concerned about the different outputs and different resource consumption of different specific systems or devices, so the ratio of output to consumption There may be different units.
