GB/T 32873-2025 is the English-translated version of 电子商务主体基本信息要求.

GB/T 32873-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the information that identifies a party trading online — the types of e-commerce entity, the information elements that describe a platform operator including its filing status and licence, those that describe an operator selling on a platform including its business licence and the real names behind a live-streaming account, the elements for logistics and payment service providers, the rules for extending the set, and the security of the information. Issued on 25 April 2025, it has been in force since 1 August 2025, replacing GB/T 32873-2016.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 32873-2016 "Basic Information Specification for Electronic Commerce Subjects".

In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

— Added a chapter on "Types of E-commerce Entities" (see Chapter 4);

— Changed the requirements for "description attributes" (see 5.1, 4.1 of the 2016 edition);

— Deleted the chapter "Description Method" (see Chapter 5 of the 2016 edition);

— Deleted the chapter "Information Model" (see Chapter 6 of the 2016 edition);

— Change the relevant contents of "General Information Summary Description" and "Special Information Summary Description" to "Description Content and Requirements" (see 5.3, 2016 Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 of the 2011 edition);

— Changed "E-commerce platform provider information" to "E-commerce platform operator information", added e-commerce platform operator information Information elements and descriptions such as filing status, e-commerce platform operating license documents, and e-commerce platform operating license contents (see 5.3.1, 8.2 of the 2016 edition);

— Deleted the information entities and descriptions of "Third-party service provider information" and "Product supplier information" (see 8.3 and 8.4 of the 2016 edition);

— Changed "online seller information" to "e-commerce platform operator information", added business license, live broadcast marketing personnel The real name of the member and other related information elements and descriptions (see 5.3.2, 8.5 of the 2016 edition);

— Added information entities and descriptions of express logistics service providers and electronic payment service providers (see 5.3.3, 5.3.4);

— Added relevant requirements for information security (see Chapter 7).

1 Scope

This document specifies the requirements for e-commerce subject types, information description, information expansion methods and information security.

This document applies to the use and management of basic information of e-commerce entities.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 E-commerce; electronic commerce

Business activities that sell goods or provide services through the Internet or other information networks.

3.2 attribute

A characteristic of an object or entity.

3.3 Information element informationelement

The basic unit of information.

Note 1 to entry. Synonymous with attribute in UML terminology.

NOTE 2 An information element is unique within an information entity.

3.4 entity

Any concrete or abstract thing that exists, has existed, or may exist, including the relationships between things.

Examples. a person, object, event, idea, process, etc.

NOTE. The existence of an entity does not depend on whether data about it is available.

3.5 information entity

A group of information elements that describe the same characteristics of data.

Note 1.Synonymous with class in UML terminology.
