Scope
GB/T 32806-2016 is the English-translated version of 土方机械 零部件再制造 通用技术规范.
China's national general technical specification for the remanufacturing of earth-moving machinery components. It specifies the general requirements and the general technical requirements for remanufacturing, and it applies to the remanufacturing of earth-moving machinery parts and components. This is the umbrella document of the series: the individual standards cover classification, disassembly, cleaning, assembly and factory acceptance, and this one sets the framework they sit in and the requirements that apply to all of them. Its usefulness is in establishing what remanufacturing is required to achieve rather than how any individual operation is done. A remanufactured component must perform at least as well as a new one - that is the claim the industry makes and the claim on which its whole market depends, since a remanufactured part is sold into the same application as a new one, at a lower price, and a purchaser who suspects it is merely a repair will pay the repair price for it. Sustaining that claim requires a process that is controlled end to end, not a set of good intentions applied part by part: the core has to be assessed before work begins, the reclamation methods have to be qualified, the assembly has to be done under new-product conditions, and the finished component has to be accepted against a written criterion. The standard also covers the quality management and the traceability that hold that chain together, and it references the other members of the series for each stage. Issued on 29 August 2016 and in force since 1 March 2017.
