In order to standardize the safety requirements of hand-held non-electric power tools, in order to protect the health of operators and the safety of equipment and the environment, the international standard

1 Scope

This document applies to hand-held non-electric power supplies for extrusion riveting, stamping, forming, and pressure cutting of metals, plastics, and other materials.

This document deals with reasonably foreseeable errors in intended use and at the factory, other than the use of extruded power tools in potentially explosive atmospheres.
