Scope
GB/T 32766-2016 is the English-translated version of 最大拟长针线虫检疫鉴定方法.
GB/T 32766-2016 specifies the method for the quarantine detection and identification of the nematode Paralongidorus maximus. Clause 1 states that it applies to detecting and identifying the species in ornamental plants, vegetables, fruit trees and other plants and in soil and growing media.
Clause 3 gathers the information on the organism: its scientific name Paralongidorus maximus (Bütschli, 1874) Siddiqi, 1964, its synonyms, among them Dorylaimus maximus Bütschli 1874, Longidorus maximus and Longidorus meyli Sturhan 1963, and its classification down from the phylum Nematoda and the class Adenophorea through the order Dorylaimida and the family Longidoridae to the genus Paralongidorus.
Clause 4 states the principle of the method, namely that identification rests mainly on the morphological characters of the adult nematode together with its host range and geographical distribution, all given in Annex A. Clause 5 lists the equipment and reagents, from a biological microscope and a stereomicroscope with transmitted light, a heating plate, a water bath and a centrifuge to beakers, funnels, tubing and clips, tweezers, scissors, a picking needle, dishes, filter paper, an alcohol lamp, a dryer and test tubes, with 4% formaldehyde, glycerol, absolute ethanol, glacial acetic acid, nail polish, paraffin and sucrose as the reagents.
Clause 6 turns to on-site quarantine, where the main host plants listed in Annex A are the primary target and the clause names the growth of the plant and the state of its roots, and there the draft breaks off.
Clause 2 cites a standard on the quarantine identification of banana nematodes and SN/T 2122-2008 on sampling for the quarantine of imported and exported plants and plant products.
The standard was proposed by the National Technical Committee on Plant Quarantine Standardization (SAC/TC271) and drafted by the Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine, the Institute of Plant Protection of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Shenzhen, Shanghai, Nantong and Tianjin entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureaus.
It carries ICS 65.020.01 and Chinese classification B16, was issued on 14 June 2016 and has applied since 1 January 2017.

4 Principle of the method
The morphological characteristics, host range and geographical distribution of the largest adult nematode (see Appendix A) were the main basis for identification.
5 Equipment and reagents
5.1 Equipment
Biological microscope, stereomicroscope (with transmission light source), heating plate, water bath, centrifuge. Self-styled bags, bell dishes or petri dishes, carrying glass (20 mesh, 100 mesh, 500 mesh), beaker (500mL, 1000mL), funnel, funnel, latex tube or silicone tube Water clips, small tweezers, scissors, pick the needle, shallow dish, filter paper or toilet paper, alcohol lamp, dryer and test tube.
5.2 Reagents
4% formaldehyde, nail polish, glycerol, anhydrous ethanol, glacial acetic acid, paraffin and sucrose.
6 On-site quarantine
The main host plant (see Appendix A) is the most important object of on-site quarantine. Observe the growth status of the plant, the root is […]
