Scope

GB/T 32433-2015 is the English-translated version of 鞋类 化学试验方法 重金属含量的测定 微波等离子体原子发射光谱法.

GB/T 32433-2015 specifies a chemical test method for determining the heavy metal content of footwear and footwear components by microwave plasma atomic emission spectrometry (MP-AES).

Clause 1 states that the method covers nine heavy metals, arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), cobalt (Co), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), mercury (Hg), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb) and antimony (Sb), that the standard applies to all footwear and footwear components, and that the limited substances in materials are the ones given in GB/T 29292.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 6682 on water for analytical laboratory use, GB/T 22049 on the environmental regulation and the testing standard environment for footwear and footwear components, and GB/T 29292 on the limited substances present in footwear and footwear components.

Under clause 3, Principle, the sample is digested in a microwave, the digestion fluid is made up to volume, the concentrations of the nine heavy metals are measured by microwave plasma atomic emission spectrometry, and their contents in the sample are calculated from those concentrations.

Clause 4, Reagents, requires analytical reagent grade chemicals and water meeting grade two of GB/T 6682 or of equivalent purity, and lists the reagents used, among them hydrogen peroxide at 30% and stock standard solutions of the nine heavy metals at a concentration of 100 µg/mL, which are to be stored and used strictly as the reference material certificate directs.

The draft on the source page breaks off inside 4.4, so the clauses that follow the reagents are not shown.

The Foreword notes that some of the content of the document may involve patents and that the body releasing it does not take responsibility for identifying them, and records that the standard was proposed by the China National Light Industry Council and administered by the National Standardization Technical Committee footwear (SAC/TC305).

The page gives ICS 61.060 and Chinese classification Y78 and estimates the text at 7,727 words. It was issued on 31 December 2015 and has applied since 1 July 2016.
