Foreword

This document conforms to GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

Drafting is scheduled.

This document is Part 1 of GB/T 32363 "Plastics - Polyamide (PA) Molding and Extrusion Materials". GB/T 32363 has been issued.

The following sections were laid out.

--Part 1: Naming Systems and Classification Basics;

--Part 2: Sample preparation and performance determination.

This document supersedes GB/T 32363.1-2015 "Plastics - Polyamide Molding and Extrusion Materials - Part 1: Nomenclature System and Specification Basis".

Compared with GB/T 32363.1-2015, the main technical changes in the "Basic Standard" are as follows, apart from structural adjustments and editorial modifications.

--The order of character groups has been changed (see 4.1, 3.1 in the 2015 edition).

--The codes for chemical structures in character group 1 have been changed (see Table 2, Table 2 in the 2015 edition).

--Added instructions on naming blends (see 4.2.2);

--Added character codes for character group 2 and character group 3 (see Table 3 and Table 4);

--Added instructions on the naming of nucleating additives (see 4.5.4).

This document is modified to adopt ISO 16396-1:2022 "Plastics - Polyamide (PA) - Molding and extrusion materials - Part 1: Nomenclature system and standard".

Classification Basics.

The technical differences between this document and ISO 16396-1:2022, and the reasons therefor, are as follows.

--The normative reference GB/T 2035 (see Chapter 3) has been added to adapt to my country's technical conditions;

--ISO 1043-1 (see 4.1, 4.2.1) has been replaced with the normatively referenced GB/T 1844.1, and the chemistry of copolyamide materials has been added.

The partial codes of the structure (see Table 2) are used to adapt to my country's technical conditions and increase operability;

--ISO 307 (see 4.5.2) has been replaced with the normatively referenced GB/T 12006.1 to adapt to my country's technical conditions and add [further details needed].

Operability;

--ISO 527 (all parts) and GB/T 32363.2 have been replaced by the normatively referenced GB/T 1040.1 and GB/T 1040.2.

ISO 16396-2 (see 4.5.3) has been replaced to adapt to my country's technical conditions and increase operability.

The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

--Added designations for aromatic and nonlinear aliphatic monomer units (see Table A.3).

Introduction

GB/T 32363, "Plastics - Polyamide (PA) Molding and Extrusion Materials," is the fundamental standard for polyamide resins and sets standards for polyamide products.

It provided support.

GB/T 32363 is proposed to consist of two parts.

--Part 1: Nomenclature System and Classification Basis. The aim is to establish a standard naming convention applicable to polyamide materials.

Methods and classification principles.

--Part 2: Sample Preparation and Performance Determination. The aim is to establish sample preparation methods and performance parameters suitable for polyamide materials.

Measurement items, methods, and conditions.

This document is Part 1 of GB/T 32363, which specifies the characteristic properties of polyamide (PA) molding and extrusion materials.

Values, recommended uses and/or processing methods, important properties, additives, colorants, fillers, and reinforcing materials, etc., for different types of polyamides Molded and extruded materials are distinguished.

In practice, ISO 1043 and ISO 11469 are often combined as "non-standard" identification systems, such as for product marking. This article this document aims to simplify the character set system and further align with ISO 1043 and ISO 11469, the first two character sets of which are commonly used in these standards.

Plastic polyamide (PA) molding and extrusion materials Part 1: Naming Systems and Classification Basics

1 Scope

This document defines a naming system for polyamide (PA) molding and extrusion materials, which serves as the basis for classification.

Different types of polyamide plastics are specified with the following characteristic property values, composition information, recommended uses and/or processing methods, and weight.

It should be distinguished by a classification system based on performance, additives, colorants, fillers, reinforcing materials, etc.

a) Viscosity;

b) Tensile modulus;

c) Nucleating additives.

This document applies to homopolymers, copolymers, and blends of polyamides.

This document applies to general-purpose unmodified materials, or materials modified with colorants, additives, fillers, reinforcing materials, polymer modifiers, etc.

Material.

This document does not apply to monomer casting type polyamide 6 (PA6) and polyamide 12 (PA12).

This document does not imply that materials with the same name have the same properties. This document does not provide information for describing the specific uses and/or properties of materials.

Engineering data, performance data, or processing condition data required for the processing method. If necessary, the testing data should be available according to the specifications in GB/T 32363.2.

The method determines these additional properties.

To illustrate the specific uses of a certain polyamide plastic, additional requirements are given in character group 5 (see 4.1).
