1 Scope

GB/T 32334-2015 is the Chinese specification for matched angular contact ball bearings: the pairs and sets supplied together, mounted back to back, face to face or in tandem, that carry combined radial and axial loads in machine tool spindles, gearboxes and pumps. What distinguishes a matched set from two individual bearings is that the manufacturer has ground the rings so that when they are clamped together they take up a defined preload; get that wrong and the spindle either runs hot or runs loose, and neither is visible on an incoming inspection of the separate parts.
