Scope

GB/T 31931-2015 is the English-translated version of 钢板及钢带 锌及锌合金镀层中六价铬含量的测定 二苯碳酰二肼分光光度法.

GB/T 31931-2015 is the Chinese standard "Zinc or zinc alloy coating on steel sheets or strips - Determination of hexavalent chromium content. 1, 5-Diphenylcarbohydrazide (diphenylcarbazide) spectrophotometric method".

Its scope clause reads: This Standard specifies using Diphenylcarbazide Spectrophotometric Method to determine the hexavalent chromium content.

This Standard is applicable to the zinc and zinc alloy coating on steel sheets or strips, thereof including the determination of hexavalent chromium content on the pure zinc, zinc-iron alloy, zinc-aluminum and aluminum-zinc alloy coating surfaces.

The measuring range is 2µg/g~100µg/g or 0.020µg/cm2~10µg/cm2. Its clauses include principle; reagents and materials; apparatus; sample preparation; test procedures; allowable difference; test report.

It was issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine on SEPTEMBER 11, 2015 and took effect on JUNE 1, 2016.
