1 Scope

GB/T 31832-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering LED street lighting as installed - the luminance and uniformity on the carriageway, the glare and the light trespass into windows, the colour temperature and its effect at night, the dimming regime and the maintained output after years of service. It replaces GB/T 31832-2015, under the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. In force from 1 February 2026. Issued on 31 October 2025, it has been in force since 1 February 2026, replacing GB/T 31832-2015.

This document specifies the general requirements, classification and specifications, and performance characteristics of LED luminaires used for urban road (including urban tunnel) lighting. Drive power supply performance and control system. This document applies to LED lighting fixtures and applications used for urban road (including urban tunnel) lighting.

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document supersedes GB/T 31832-2015 "Technical Requirements for LED Urban Road Lighting Applications" and is consistent with GB/T 31832-2015. Compared to previous versions, aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---Some terms and definitions have been changed (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.2015 edition);

---The requirement to conduct carbon footprint accounting for lighting products throughout their entire life cycle has been added (see 4.6);
