Scope

GB/T 31467.3-2015 is the English-translated version of 电动汽车用锂离子动力蓄电池包和系统 第3部分:安全性要求与测试方法.

GB/T 31467.3-2015 is Part 3 of the GB/T 31467 series and sets the safety requirements and the test methods for lithium-ion traction battery packs and systems installed in electrically propelled vehicles; for Ni-MH packs and systems it can be used as a reference. The English text offered here includes the No. 1 Modification List issued in 2017, which is the version quoted in supplier specifications as GB/T 31467.3-2015/XG1-2017. The document fixes the general test conditions and the state of charge and measurement accuracy the unit under test must be brought to, then the safety tests themselves: vibration, mechanical shock, falling, rotation, simulated collision, squeezing, temperature shock and thermal shock cycling, with the pass criteria for each. Two informative annexes show typical battery pack and system configurations and the test items that apply to each. This edition was replaced by GB 38031-2020 on 1 January 2021 (now GB 38031-2025): it is sold for design files, type approval dossiers and supplier agreements that still refer to it.
