1 Scope

This document specifies the specifications, technical requirements and testing methods of cut steel wire shot for spring shot peening.

This document is applicable to steel cut steel shots made by cold-drawn steel wire cutting and passivation processing used for spring shot peening to improve the fatigue life of the spring. (Referred to as pellets).
