Scope
GB/T 30996.2-2017 is the English-translated version of 信息技术 实时定位系统 第2部分:2.45GHz 空中接口协议.
GB/T 30996.2-2017 is the Chinese national air interface protocol for real-time locating systems in the 2.45 GHz band.
It is Part 2 of GB/T 30996 and fixes the physical layer - operating frequency, emission spectrum density template, modulation and spreading, and error vector magnitude - and the data link layer, with the preamble, synchronization code, data length, frame options, message data and check code.
It then specifies the tag storage area, the state machine with its sleep, querying and sending states, and the reader commands and responses, which hibernate or inactivate tags and set the timeout, channel, wake-up mode and location data.
A final clause describes the protocol work modes; Annex A gives positioning methods. It applies to the design, production, use and testing of such systems, was issued on 31 May 2017 and has applied since 1 December 2017.

3 Terms and definitions
GB/T 29261.3-2012 and GB/T 29261.5-2014 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 RTLS air interface
Wireless communication protocol and signaling architecture for data communication between RTLS tags and other RTLS devices.
3.2 Sleep state
The tag is in a state in which the tag has a low power consumption characteristic and can be periodically or externally triggered to enter the transmitting state.
3.3 Query status
The tag is in a state in which the tag can receive and respond to commands issued by the reader.
3.4 Tag fired state
Tag in a state in which the tag actively sends the location data to be reported.
3.5 Wake up
The label is transferred from the dormant state to the transmitting state by the low frequency excitation signal, the external event trigger or the timing trigger.
