Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

Drafting.

This document is Part 3 of GB/T 30206 "Aerospace Fluid Systems Vocabulary". GB/T 30206 has already published the following parts.

---Part 1: General terms and definitions related to pressure;

---Part 2: General Terms and Definitions Related to Traffic;

---Part 3: General terms and definitions related to temperature;

---Part 4: General terms and definitions related to control/actuation systems.

This document replaces GB/T 30206.3-2013 "Aerospace Fluid Systems Vocabulary Part 3: General Terms and Definitions Related to Temperature".

Compared with GB/T 30206.3-2013, the main technical changes in the "Meaning" are as follows, except for structural adjustments and editorial modifications.

---The definitions of the terms have been changed (see 3.1~3.5, 3.7~3.18, and 2.1~2.17 in the 2013 edition);

---The term "ignition point" has been added (see 3.6).

This document is equivalent to ISO 8625-3:2018 "Aerospace fluid systems vocabulary - Part 3: General terms related to temperature".

and definition.

The following minimal editorial changes have been made to this document.

---To align with existing standards, the standard name has been changed to "Aerospace Fluid Systems Glossary Part 3: Temperature-Related General Terms".

Introduction

GB/T 30206 "Glossary of Aerospace Fluid Systems" consists of four parts.

---Part 1: General Terms and Definitions Related to Pressure. The purpose is to define general terms and definitions used in aerospace fluid systems related to pressure.

The terminology and definitions used for the entire lifecycle of aerospace fluid systems, from requirements analysis to decommissioning.

---Part 2: General Terms and Definitions Related to Flow. The aim is to define the general terms and definitions related to flow in aerospace fluid systems.

The terminology and definitions used for the entire lifecycle of aerospace fluid systems, from requirements analysis to decommissioning.

---Part 3: General Terms and Definitions Related to Temperature. The purpose is to define general terms and definitions used in aerospace fluid systems related to temperature.

The terminology and definitions used for the entire lifecycle of aerospace fluid systems, from requirements analysis to decommissioning.

---Part 4: General Terminology and Definitions Related to Control/Actuation Systems. The purpose is to define the terminology used in aerospace fluid systems and control...

General terms and definitions related to braking/actuation systems, used throughout the entire lifecycle of aerospace fluid systems, from requirements analysis to decommissioning.

3 Terms and Definitions

ambient temperature

The temperature of the environment in which a fluid, component, or fluid system operates.

The lowest temperature at which a fluid can spontaneously ignite and continue to burn without an external ignition source under specific atmospheric conditions.

Note. This value can be determined using various existing testing methods.

cold start temperature the minimum temperature at which a fluid system can start up and operate.

Note. At this temperature, the system is not required to meet all performance specifications.

equipment temperature Temperature value of the equipment at a specific location.

The peak temperature at which a component or fluid system will not fail or permanently degrade during operation.

Note. The duration of this temperature is limited and exceeds normal operating conditions. The system is not required to meet all performance specifications.

firepoint

The lowest temperature at which a fluid vapor can continue to burn after being ignited by an external ignition source under specific atmospheric conditions.

Flashpoint

Under specific atmospheric conditions, the lowest temperature at which the vapor of a fluid can continue to burn after being ignited by an external ignition source.

fluid temperature

The temperature value of the fluid measured at a specific point within a fluid system.
