Scope

GB/T 29655-2025 is the English-translated version of 速凝钕铁硼合金薄片.

GB/T 29655-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the strip-cast feedstock of sintered NdFeB magnets — the composition and the rare earth content, the flake thickness, the column grain structure and the free iron that must not be there, the oxygen and carbon, and the sampling and analysis of a material whose microstructure decides the coercivity of the magnet made from it. Issued on 29 August 2025, it has been in force since 1 March 2026, replacing GB/T 29655-2013.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 29655-2013 "NdFeB Rapid Solidification Thin Sheet Alloy". Compared with GB/T 29655-2013, except for the structural adjustment Besides the editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The terms and definitions have been changed (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the 2013 edition);

b) Product classification has been deleted (see 4.1 of the 2013 edition);

c) Changed the requirements for main components from "main chemical composition control accuracy" to "main component tolerance" (see 4.1, 2013 4.3 of the 2012 edition);

d) The requirements for impurity content have been changed (see 4.2, 4.4 of the 2013 edition);

e) The thickness requirements have been changed (see 4.3, 4.5 of the 2013 edition);

f) The requirements for microstructure have been changed (see 4.4, 4.6 of the 2013 edition);

g) The content of “Packaging, Marking, Transport, Storage and Accompanying Documents” has been changed (see Chapter 7, Chapter 7 of the 2013 edition);

h) The microstructure examination method has been changed (see Appendix B, 5.3.4 of the 2013 edition).

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 15676 and the following apply to this document.

3.1

The molten NdFeB alloy is poured onto a rotating metal cooling roller to rapidly solidify the melt into a thin sheet product.

3.2

The surface of the rapidly solidified NdFeB alloy sheet that contacts the surface of the metal cooling roller during the preparation process.

3.3

During the preparation process of the rapidly solidified NdFeB alloy sheet, the surface is opposite to the roller surface and in contact with the ambient atmosphere.

3.4

In a certain thickness measurement sample, the ratio of the number of samples within a certain thickness range to the total number of samples measured is specified.
