Scope

GB/T 29307-2022 is the English-translated version of 电动汽车用驱动电机系统可靠性试验方法.

GB/T 29307-2022 tells a test house how to run a bench reliability test on an electric vehicle drive motor system, from the test conditions to the report.

The test is split into two runs on separate samples - a speed up-and-down cycle and a torque load cycle - each with a cycle count taken from a severity level, and it also sets the cooling arrangements for air-cooled, naturally cooled, liquid-cooled and oil-cooled systems, the run-in needed when a reducer is fitted, and the checks due continuously, hourly and every 24 hours.

Reliability is assessed using MTTFF, the number of shutdowns and MTBF, and the peak torque at rated and maximum operating speed must not have fallen more than 5% from the pre-test figure.

It replaces GB/T 29307-2012, was issued on 30 December 2022 and has applied since 1 July 2023.
