Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces the connection between GB/T 29132-2012 "ship and marine technology marine environmental protection different boom joints"

adapter". Compared with GB/T 29132-2012, the main technical changes of this standard are as follows.

--- Removed Chapter 2 normative references (see Chapter 2 of the.2012 edition);

--- Revised the definition of the boom and tensile strength (see 2.1, 2.6, 3.1, 3.6 of the.2012 edition);

--- Revised the security requirements in the general functional requirements (see Chapter 3, 4.8 of the.2012 edition);

--- Increased bolt size values in inches (see 4.2, Figure 2);

---Modified the value of the hole distance deviation between the bolt hole and the water line [see Figure 1, Figure 1a of the.2012 edition)];

--- Removed the size of the bolt hole in the example of the boom adapter connection [Fig. 1a of the.2012 edition]];

--- Added the requirement that the bolts can be used with the same properties as AISI316 stainless steel (see Figure 2);

--- Removed the material requirements for the lock nut [see Figure 1b of the.2012 edition), 5.5];

--- Removed the manufacturer's requirements for the tensile strength performance test of the boom (see 5.8 of the.2012 edition);

--- Remove the leak prevention requirements for holes designed directly on the boom connector that do not apply to the adapter (see 5.9 of.2012 edition);

--- Increased the requirement for tensile stress transfer between booms when connecting adapters (see 4.7);

--- Increased the requirement that the boom equipment should not reduce the operational performance of the connected boom (see 5.4).

This standard uses the translation method equivalent to ISO 16446.2013 "ship and marine technology marine environmental protection different boom joints

Between the connection adapters.

This standard is proposed and managed by the National Marine Machinery Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC137).

This standard was drafted. China Shipbuilding Industry Comprehensive Technology and Economic Research Institute.

1 Scope

This standard specifies a general method of using standard adapters to connect to booms with different types of joints.

This standard does not address all safety precautions (if any) related to use. Users of this standard are responsible for making appropriate

Safety and health practices, and clarify the scope of application of relevant regulations.

2 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

2.1

Boom boom

A floating barrier that controls the movement of floating objects.

2.2

Cable bridle

Ancillary facilities used to share the additional loads generated by towing or securing the boom.

2.3

Draught draft

The minimum vertical depth of the boom below the waterline.

2.4

End connector endconnector

A device used to interconnect between the boom sections or between the boom section and the attachment.

2.5

Freeboard freeboard

The minimum vertical height of the boom above the waterline.

2.6

Tensile strength tensilestrength

Stretch the boom parts to the force required to fail.

3 General functional requirements

Any boom connector shall be designed to meet the following requirements to ensure successful use of the adapter to connect different types of boom connectors.

--- The boom connector shall be of sufficient strength to withstand the corresponding pulling force of the type, size and purpose of the connected boom.

--- Oil leakage between the boom section and the section should be avoided.

--- Whether in water, water, or in water containing oil, dirt or ice, or large waves, the boom connector should be strong and

Easy to connect and disassemble. For those joints that need to be embedded in each other, it is advisable to simply pull the ends together
