Scope
GB/T 2855.1-2008 is the English-translated version of 冲模滑动导向模座 第1部分：上模座.
GB/T 2855.1-2008 fixes the structure, the dimensions and the marking of the punch holder of sliding guide die sets for stamping dies. Clause 1 states that the part applies to punch holders of sliding guide die sets, in a sentence whose qualifier the draft renders unreadably, and no exclusion is given.
It is the first of the two parts of GB/T 2855, the second covering the lower die holder.
The part merges and revises six standards of 1990, and its foreword lists the main changes: the title was changed, a foreword and a normative references clause were added, the narrow rear side guide pillar punch holder was dropped and the structure and dimensions of the centre guide post holder were considerably revised, while a fifth item concerning materials is garbled in the draft.
The foreword also traces the line back to the GB 2855 series of 1981. Clause 2 cites JB/T 8070, and clause 3 opens the dimensional provisions with the diagonal guide post holder, whose structure and dimensions are given in Figures 1 and 2 and in Table 1.
The draft breaks off at the first figure, so the dimension tables themselves are not visible. The page puts the part forward from and places it with the national mould standardization technical committee SAC/TC33.
It replaces GB/T 2855.1-1990, GB/T 2855.5-1990, GB/T 2855.7-1990, GB/T 2855.9-1990, GB/T 2855.11-1990 and GB/T 2855.13-1990, was issued on 10 April 2008 and has applied since 1 October 2008.
