Scope

GB/T 28258-2012 is the English-translated version of 制药机械产品分类及编码.

GB/T 28258-2012 fixes the classification principles, methods and basis for pharmaceutical machinery products, the code structure and the coding method, the pharmaceutical machinery product category code and the pharmaceutical machinery product code.

Clause 1 states that it applies to the information classification and management and to the economic statistics management of the production and circulation of pharmaceutical machinery.

The standard is arranged as Scope, Normative references, classification principle, method and basis, code structure and coding method, Pharmaceutical Machinery Product Category Code and Pharmaceutical Machinery Product Code, preceded by an introduction.

Clause 3 states that the categories of pharmaceutical machinery are formed according to the basic principles of information classification in Chapter 5 of GB/T 7027-2002, that the line classification specified in GB/T 7027-2002, that is hierarchical classification, is used, and that the division of product categories and classes and the layout of their codes refer to the content of GB/T 15692-2008.

Clause 4 sets a code structure of three levels, each made of two Arabic numerals, running from the pharmaceutical machinery product category down to the individual product, with the hierarchical coding set according to the rules of GB/T 20001.3-2001.

Clause 6 holds the product codes themselves, divided into API machinery and equipment, preparation machinery and equipment, pharmaceutical milling machinery, mechanical pieces, pharmaceutical water and gas (steam) equipment, pharmaceutical packaging machinery, drug testing equipment, and other pharmaceutical machinery and equipment.
