Scope
GB/T 27661-2011 is the English-translated version of 激光棒单程损耗系数的测量方法.
GB/T 27661-2011 fixes the method for measuring the single-pass loss coefficient of a laser rod. Clause 1 states that the standard applies to laser rods of not less than 4 mm in diameter that transmit light at the working wavelength of the laser.
Clause 4 sets the requirements, beginning with the measurement environment, where unless otherwise agreed the ambient temperature is to be 18 to 28 degrees Celsius, the relative humidity 45 to 70 percent and the pressure 86 to 106 kPa, and where the measuring system is to stand free of appreciable vibration in clean air without interference that would affect the result, with the necessary measures taken to shield it from light.
The same clause then sets the machining requirements for the rod under test, namely a diameter of at least 4 mm, parallelism between the two end faces within 10 seconds of arc, perpendicularity of the end face to the rod axis within 5 minutes of arc, end face flatness within one tenth of a wavelength at 632.8 nm over 90 percent of the aperture diameter, surface flaws complying with GB/T 1185 to the stated grades, and a residual reflectance of the anti-reflection coatings on both ends of no more than 0.2 percent at the working wavelength.
Clause 4 closes by requiring the safety precautions of GB 7247.1 to be taken during measurement. The terms and definitions used are those of GB/T 11293 on solid state laser material terminology.

The standard was proposed by the China Machinery Industry Federation, is administered by the national standardization technical committee for optical radiation safety and laser equipment, SAC/TC284, and was drafted by the 11th Institute of the China Electronics Technology Group Corporation with a Beijing technology company and a Beijing optoelectronic technology institute. It was issued on 30 December 2011 and has applied since 1 May 2012.

This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for measuring the laser rod pass loss coefficient.
This standard applies to a diameter of not less than 4mm and the laser wavelength of the laser rod rod working wavelengths of light permeable.

Terms and definitions GB/T 11293 apply to this document defined.
4 Requirements
4.1 Measurement Environment
Unless otherwise specified, measurements should be carried out under the following conditions.
a) Ambient temperature. 18 °C ~ 28 °C;
b) Relative humidity. 45% to 70%;
c) Pressure. 86kPa ~ 106kPa;
d) measurement system should be in no significant vibration, air and dust environment, shall not affect the measurement result of the interference;
e) measuring system shall take the necessary measures to shield light.
4.2 Technical requirements for processing the measured laser rod
Addition to special requirements, the laser rod shall meet the following requirements.
a) sample diameter of not less than 4mm;
b) parallel to both end surfaces should be less than or equal to 10 ";
c) end face perpendicular to the axis of the rod should be less than or equal to 5 ';
d) facing surface flaws shall comply with GB/T 1185, the specific requirements. B/0.8D0 x 0.05, C1 x 0.01, P0.1 (D0 The laser rod diameter in mm);
e) in the end surface flatness full bore diameter in the range of 90% should be less than or equal to lambda/10 (lambda is of 632.8 nm);
f) at both ends of the laser rod AR-coated surface, the reflection rate of the remaining work at a wavelength of not more than 0.2%.
4.3 Security
GB 7247.1 requirements should take safety precautions when measuring.
