Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/Z 26668-2011 "Material Declaration for Electrical and Electronic Products". Compared with GB/Z 26668-2011, except for the structural adjustment in addition to the integration and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The general requirements for material declaration have been changed (see 4.1, 4.1 of the 2011 edition);

b) Added commercial information (see 4.2);

c) Added product information (see 4.3);

d) Changed "basic requirements" to "conformity declaration requirements" and added specific declaration rules (see 4.4, 4.2 of the 2011 edition);

e) Changed "additional requirements" to "ingredient declaration requirements" and added specific declaration rules (see 4.5, 4.3 of the 2011 edition);

f) Change "Data Format and Data Exchange" to an informative appendix (see Appendix B, Chapter 5 of the 2011 edition);

g) Adjust "Data exchange and format" to informative additional information (see Appendix A, Appendix A of the 2011 edition).

Introduction

Material declarations are often used by the electrical and electronics industry to trace and declare specific product material information to meet certain regulatory requirements.

In order to improve economic efficiency and simplify the information transfer process of the entire supply chain, this document proposes that products, components and the data exchange requirements of parts, materials and substances are standardized, the terms of agreements between enterprises are standardized, and the transmission and processing of data are promoted, which is beneficial to the electronic and electrical industry.

The main purpose of this document is to provide reference data for upstream and downstream of the supply chain.

Based on this, companies have the flexibility to determine the most appropriate method to obtain material declaration data.

1 Scope

This document specifies the procedure, content and format of material declarations for electrical and electronic products.

This document applies to material declarations for electronic and electrical products and their accessories. Chemical substances and emissions generated during product use and packaging it is not within the scope of this document.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Article

An object that is given a particular shape, appearance or design during the production process, which determines its function more than its chemical composition.

A quantitative declaration of the substances contained in a product, component or material.
