Foreword
This standard is equivalent to ISO 9849.:2000 "Terminology for geodetic instruments for optical and optical instruments".
This standard is equivalent to ISO 9849.:2000.
For ease of use, this standard has been modified as follows.
- the word "international standard" is changed to "this standard";
- to remove the preamble of international standards;
- the international standard "scope" chapter number.
This standard is proposed by the China Machinery Industry Federation.
This standard is nationalized by the National Committee for the Standardization of Optics and Photonics (SAC/TC103).

2 Instrument terminology
Line alignment
Contains a high magnification telescope, fixed at the end of the optical axis of the telescope fixed target.
Note. The middle of each target should be placed in the vertical axis of the alignment machine.
2.1.1
Alignment lasers alignmentlaser Use a laser beam instead of an optical sight line.
Note. Using the lens group, the laser beam is expanded into two linear rays perpendicular to each other, and then converged into a cross light source.
Antenna
Emitting and/or receiving electromagnetic waves.
See also. Electronic range finder (2.4), GPS ground receiver (2.6).
Barometer
Instruments for measuring atmospheric pressure.
Note. Since the barometric pressure varies with height, it can also be used to measure elevation.
2.3.1
Empty box barometer aneroidbarometer A barometer of atmospheric pressure is measured by some resilient means.
Note. also known as no liquid barometer.
2.3.2
Barometrical altimeter barometricaltimeter A barometer for elevation measurement.
2.3.3
Mercury barometer A barometer for measuring atmospheric pressure with a mercury column.
Electronic range finder electronicdistancemeter Electromagnetic range finder EDMinstrument; electromagneticdistancemeter an instrument that directly measures the distance between the instrument and the target, including a transmitter and a receiver.
Note. The transmitter emits a modulated wave of a certain speed, after reaching the target, uses an optical or electronic device to reflect the modulated wave back to the instrument, received by the receiver Calculate the distance.
