Scope

GB/T 26287-2022 is the English-translated version of 电热水器用铝合金牺牲阳极.

GB/T 26287-2022 covers aluminium alloy sacrificial anodes for electric water heaters. It specifies their classification, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, and the marking, packaging, transport, storage, quality certificate and order content.

It applies to extruded and cast aluminium anodes for non-potable storage electric water heaters, and anodes for hot water boilers and solar water heaters may use it as a reference.

An anode is an aluminium matrix with a steel core: the matrix supplies the cathodic protection current and is consumed, while the core conducts it and connects the matrix to the protected part.

The 2022 edition adds the chemical composition of the 8C02, 741Z.1 and 781Z.1 anodes and changes the dimensional, electrochemical, contact resistance and surface quality requirements.

It replaces GB/T 26287-2010, was issued on 30 December 2022 and has applied since 1 July 2023.
