Scope
GB/T 26215-2023 is the English-translated version of 高压直流输电系统换流阀阻尼吸收回路用电容器.
GB/T 26215-2023 covers the dry capacitor units fitted in the thyristor-level damping absorption circuit of a converter valve in an HVDC transmission system, where they damp and equalise the voltage.
It sets the normal and special conditions of use, the quality requirements and the tests, the marking of the capacitor unit, the installation and selection guidelines, and the environmental and fire protection requirements.
The tests run from appearance, dimensions and weight, capacitance and loss tangent and insulation resistance to voltage and partial discharge tests between the terminals and between terminal and case, tightness, resonant frequency and equivalent series inductance, self-healing, impulse discharge, thermal stability, durability, destruction, damp heat and mechanical tests.
Annex A gives three ways of measuring the resonant frequency. It replaces GB/T 26215-2010, was issued on 27 November 2023 and has applied since 1 March 2024.
