1 Scope

GB/T 26058-2010 is the Chinese national standard on extruded tube of titanium and titanium alloys, in the field of metallurgy. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. 4 Inspection methods

4.1 Analysis method for chemical composition The analysis method for chemical composition of tubes shall be in accordance with GB/T 4698.

4.2 Inspection method for mechanical properties The mechanical performance test at room temperature is carried out according to GB/T 228. For tubes with a wall thickness of 4mm~< 6mm, use S1 or S2 sample. For tubes with a wall thickness 6mm~< 8mm, use R8 sample. For tubes with a wall thickness not less than 8mm, use R7 sample.

6 Packaging, marks, transport and storage as well as

quality certificate

6.1 Marks The following marks shall be marked on the conforming tubes and packaging boxes:

a) Product designation;

b) Smelting furnace number or batch number;

d) Reference to this Standard.

6.2 Packaging, transport and storage The packaging, transport and storage of tubes shall comply with relevant provisions of GB/T 8180.

6.3 Quality certificate Each batch of tubes shall be attached with quality certificate, indicating:
