Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardized Documents Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardized Documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 25821-2010 "Stainless Steel Strand". Compared with GB/T 25821-2010, except for structural adjustment and editing In addition to sexual changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

1 Scope

GB/T 25821-2023 is the Chinese national standard on stainless steel wire strand, in the field of metallurgy. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 6 August 2023 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 March 2024. 3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 8706, GB/T 24191 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 A steel strand made of a certain number of one or more layers of circular stainless steel wires spirally twisted.

3.2 The sum of the cross-sectional areas of the steel wires calculated based on the nominal diameter of the steel wires in the strand.

4 Classification and tagging

4.1 The cross-sectional structure of the steel strand is shown in Table

1.If other structures are needed, they can be determined through negotiation between the supply and demand parties.
