Foreword

GB/T 25265 "photography and imaging inkjet media. Classification, nomenclature and dimensions" is divided into two parts as follows.

--- Part 1. photo grade media (paper and film);

--- Part 2. Non-photographic grade media (paper, film and other substrates).

This section GB/T 25265 Part 1.

This part identical with ISO 18055-1:2004 "photography and imaging inkjet media. classification, nomenclature and dimensions - Part 1. Photographic grade Media (paper and film) "(in English).

This section is equivalent translation ISO 18055-1:2004.

For ease of use, this section made the following editorial changes.

a) "this International Standard" be replaced by "this section"

b) "ISO 18055 Part" be replaced by "this section";

c) use a decimal point instead of a decimal comma ",". ",";

d) Remove ISO 18055-1:2004 Foreword, rewrite this section "Preface"; the introduction of international standards as a direct translation Introduction This section.

Introduction

In the inkjet field of rapid development, the need to establish a clear classification, description of product type, layout/size, thickness/weight and Conventional name. All inkjet market participants (ie manufacturer, processing industry, trade and end users) to reach all the elements of a unified market, a Consistent understanding is very important.

The purpose of this section, that is to build on this understanding of the photographic medium level.

1 Scope

This section GB/T 25265 specifies the photographic grade inkjet paper and film on naming, size and thickness/weight classifications.

It does not include non-photographic grade media, non-paper/film media, or media for laser printers.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this section.
