1 Scope

This standard applies to the installation and performance requirements of night vision devices installed on high speed ships and their test methods. High speed crafts are subject to IMO (HSC Code) Chapter 13, and high-speed vessel night viewers shall comply with the performance of IMO MSC.94 (72) standard.

All references to IMOMSC.94 (72) in this standard identify the resolution number and its chapter number in square brackets.

With the development of night vision system performance data, it is expected that the performance requirements and test procedures will soon be reviewed.
