GB/T 24986.4-2017 is the English-translated version of 家用和类似用途电器可靠性评价方法第4部分: 房间空气调节器的特殊要求.

GB/T 24986.4-2017 is Part 4 of GB/T 24986 and gives the particular rules for the quantitative reliability evaluation of room air conditioners, to be used together with Part 1: It applies to air conditioners that meet GB/T 7725 and names the reliability parameters used: mean time to first failure, mean time between failures and service life, with the validation interval of the MTTFF defined as a term.

It then covers the meaning and purpose of the evaluation, the parameters and indicators, the distribution hypothesis, the evaluation method, the test, the fault criteria and their statistics, and the processing of the data.

Three informative annexes give recommended MTBF values, the test requirements for life assessment and the processing of service life data. It was issued on 1 November 2017 and has applied since 1 May 2018.

1 Scope

3 Terms and definitions

GB/T 2900.13, GB/T 24986.1 defined and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Validation interval of MTTFF [(MTTFF) L, (MTTFF) U]

Under test conditions, the possible range of true MTTFF. That is, the interval estimation of MTTFF under the specified confidence level. (MT- TFF) U is called upper confidence limit; (MTTFF) L is called lower confidence limit.

5 Reliability evaluation parameters and indicators

5.1 Reliability parameter selection

5.1.1 Air conditioner selection reliability parameters include. average time to first failure (MTTFF), mean time between failure (MTBF), so that Use life.

5.1.2 Monitor and verify the earlier failure of the air conditioner, use the average time to first failure (MTTFF) as the evaluation parameter.
