Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB /Z 24839-2009 "Technical Specifications for Post Insulators for 1000kV AC Systems".

Compared with GB /Z 24839-2009, the main technical changes of this standard are as follows.

--- Increased the technical requirements for the pillar insulators for the series compensation platform (see 5.2.3);

--- Increased the terminology, definitions and technical requirements for factory composite post insulators (see 3.2, Chapter 7).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the general conditions of use, technical requirements, inspection rules, packaging, marking and transportation of 1000kV post insulators.

This standard applies to porcelain post insulators used in 1000kV busbars, isolating switches, reactors, series compensation platforms, etc.

The factory composite pillar insulator and solid core composite pillar insulator (hereinafter referred to as "insulator"). Pillar insulators for DC systems are also available use.

This standard does not include some of the requirements involved in selecting post insulators for specific operating conditions.
