This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

This document is Part 5 of GB/T 24817 "Arrangement and Characteristics of Crane Control Devices". GB/T 24817 has been published.

The following parts were included.

---Part 3: Tower Cranes;

---Part 4: Boom Cranes;

---Part 5: Bridge and Gantry Cranes.

This document replaces GB/T 24817.5-2009 "Arrangement and Characteristics of Control Devices for Lifting Machinery - Part 5: Bridge and Gantry Types" Compared with GB/T 24817.5-2009, the main technical changes in "Crane" are as follows, except for structural adjustments and editorial modifications.

a) The scope has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 2009 edition);

b) Added terms and definitions (see Chapter 3);

c) The "General Requirements" have been amended (see Chapter 4, Chapter 3 of the 2009 edition);

d) The requirements for the arrangement of basic control devices have been removed (see Chapter 4 of the 2009 edition).

This document is equivalent to ISO 7752-5:2021 "Arrangement and characteristics of crane control devices - Part 5: Bridge and gantry cranes".

Introduction

GB/T 24817 "Arrangement and Characteristics of Control Devices for Lifting Machinery" is a standard that regulates the arrangement of control devices for lifting machinery in my country.

The standard for the direction of motion is intended to unify the layout and direction of motion of crane control devices in my country and to align with international standards.

GB/T 24817 is proposed to consist of five parts.

---Part 1: General Provisions. The purpose is to standardize the general layout and requirements of crane control devices.

---Part 2: Mobile Cranes. The purpose is to standardize the layout and main characteristics of the control devices for mobile cranes.

---Part 3: Tower Cranes. The purpose is to standardize the layout and main characteristics of tower crane control devices.

---Part 4: Boom Cranes. The purpose is to standardize the layout and main characteristics of boom crane control devices.

---Part 5: Bridge and Gantry Cranes. The purpose is to standardize the layout and main functions of the control systems for bridge and gantry cranes.

Operators of bridge and gantry cranes often operate cranes of different models or from different manufacturers. This document specifies the basic crane operation procedures.

The arrangement and direction of operation of the control devices can reduce operator confusion and misoperation in emergency situations.

1 Scope

This document specifies all cab-operated bridge and gantry cranes (hereinafter referred to as cranes) as defined by ISO 4306-1 and ISO 4306-5.

The layout, requirements, and... (referred to as "crane") of the basic control devices for the operation, traversing, slewing, cab movement, and load lifting and lowering.

The terms and definitions defined in ISO 4306-1, ISO 4306-5 and ISO 7752-1 apply to this document.

4 General Requirements

Crane control devices shall comply with the requirements of ISO 7752-1.
