Foreword

GB/T 24328 "Toilet Paper and Its Products" is divided into the following 12 parts.

---Part 1.Terminology guidelines;

---Part 2.Determination of thickness, laminate thickness, apparent laminate tightness and bulk;

---Part 3.Determination of tensile strength, elongation at maximum force and tensile energy absorption;

---Part 4.Determination of wet tensile strength;

---Part 5.Quantitative determination;

---Part 6.Determination of water absorption time and water absorption capacity basket immersion method;

---Part 7.Determination of the burst resistance of the spherical shape;

---Part 8.Determination of optical properties, determination of brightness and color D65/10° (outdoor daylight conditions);

---Part 9.Determination of the burst resistance of the wet spherical shape;

---Part 10.Determination of the tensile strength of the punching line and calculation of the punching efficiency;

---Part 11.Determination of optical properties, determination of brightness and color C/2° (indoor daylight conditions);

--- Part 12.Determination of optical properties. Determination of opacity. Diffuse reflectance method.

This part is Part 1 of GB/T 24328.

This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part replaces GB/T 24328.1-2009 "Toilet paper and its products Part 1.General provisions and terminology", this part and GB/T 24328.1-

Compared with.2009, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- Deleted the general rules, moved some of the content into the terms and definitions (see 3.56, Chapter 3 of the.2009 edition);

--- Adjusted some terms and definitions (see Chapter 3, Chapter 4 of the.2009 edition).

This section uses the redrafting law to amend and adopt ISO 12625-1.2019 "Toilet paper and its products Part 1.Vocabulary".

Compared with ISO 12625-1.2019, the main structural differences of this part are as follows.

--- Combine the terms 3.22.9 paired steel roll embossing and 3.22.14 steel-to-steel embossing in ISO 12625-1.2019 into one, touching

Two terms related to sense (3.30, 3.55) are merged into one to meet my country's technical requirements (see 3.22.9, 3.30);

---Adjusted the numbers of the terms 3.56, 3.57, 3.58, 3.59, 3.61, 3.62, 3.63 in ISO 12625-1.2019.

The technical differences between this part and ISO 12625-1.2019 and the reasons are as follows.

---Modified the description of the scope to meet the requirements of GB/T 1.1 (see Chapter 1);

---Modified the term name and definition content of the absorption time to adapt to my country's national conditions (see 3.2.3);

--- Deleted note 2 in term 3.4, as well as the content in 3.10, 3.28, 3.53.3.1 and 3.53.3.2, to adapt to my country's national conditions;

---Modified the definition of D65 brightness and C brightness, and changed "use in accordance with ISO 2469" to "use in accordance with GB/T 7973

Regulations" to meet my country's technical requirements (see 3.8.1, 3.8.2);

---Deleted the content in the terminology of paper towels, modified the terms and definitions of kitchen paper towels, and deleted the terminology of toilet paper

Note 1.Adjust 3.60 toilet paper in ISO 12625-1.2019 to Note 6 in the terminology of toilet paper to adapt to my country's national conditions

(See 3.43, 3.43.4, 3.56);

---Modified the term name and definition content of elongation at maximum force value, and modified the terms of spherical burst resistance and wet spherical burst resistance

The name is consistent with my country's relevant standards (see 3.53.2, 3.53.3.1, 3.53.3.2).

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 24328 specifies the terms and definitions of toilet paper and its products.

This section applies to the industrial and commercial fields of toilet paper base paper and toilet paper products.

There are no normative references in this section.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

ISO and IEC continuously update the terminology database for standardization at the following website.

3.1

Absorbency

Toilet paper base paper (3.57) and toilet paper products (3.58) absorb liquid and retain liquid performance.

3.2

Absorption

3.2.1

Absorptioncapacity

Under specified conditions, the unit mass of the sample absorbs the mass of liquid.

Note. Refer to GB/T 24328.6 for the definition of water absorption capacity.

3.2.2

Absorptionrate

In unit time, the mass of liquid absorbed by the sample is calculated by dividing the total mass of liquid absorbed within a specified time by time.

3.2.3

Water-absorption time

The time required for the sample to be fully wetted from the beginning of immersion in water.

3.3

Acceleratedageing

A method that simulates the properties of toilet paper base paper (3.57) and toilet paper products (3.58) that change over a long period of time under natural conditions.

Note. It is especially suitable for toilet paper and its products whose wet strength changes with time. For the accelerated aging process, see GB/T 24328.4.

3.4

Apparentbulkdensity

The mass of toilet paper base paper (3.57) and toilet paper products (3.58) per unit volume is calculated from the basis weight (3.28) and the layer thickness (3.10)
