Foreword

This revised standard adopts ISO/T R25679.2005 "published by the mechanical properties of the metal test standard symbols and terminology" (in English).

The standard ISO/T R25679.2005 made the following changes and additions.

--- Original 21 international draft (DIS or FDIS) standard into the formal release of the new international standards, and its contents according to the new international standard Quasi been modified, and remove the eight international standards which have been abolished.

--- An increase of nine international standards in the latest release of the symbols and definitions.

--- For additional standard gives the corresponding code.

--- Added Appendix B "of this standard reg number and ISO/T R25679.2005 reg number control list." for ease of use, this standard made the following editorial changes.

--- The "this International Standard" be replaced by "this standard";

"." --- With a decimal point instead of a comma as the decimal point, "";

--- Remove the foreword and introduction of international standards;

--- Chapter 3. Since the additional provisions, after the new number, the serial number of the original postponed.

Appendix A of this standard and Appendix B is an informative annex.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms, symbols and definitions of metal materials, mechanical test methods used in publishing standards. Symbols and compiled in alphabetical order Code indexing system. Appendix A gives additional information coding system with relevant international standard number control.

2 Name System

To help with the indexing and query symbol is defined by a code representing an experimental method. The first digit of the code-generation
