Scope
GB/T 23189-2025 is the English-translated version of 平菇.
GB/T 23189-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering Pleurotus ostreatus graded for trade — the fresh fruiting body sorted into three grades with anything below them counted as inferior, the dried product, the foreign matter, the moisture and ash determinations and the net content check, the sampling and the judgement rules that decide whether a lot passes, and the packaging, transport and storage. The 2025 edition drops the product classification and the hygiene and physico-chemical requirements of the old text, leaving a grading and inspection document. It replaces GB/T 23189-2008, under the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives. In force from 1 January 2026. Issued on 30 June 2025, it has been in force since 1 January 2026, replacing GB/T 23189-2008.
