GB/T 23106-2024Household and similar use electrical hair care appliances - Methods for measuring the performance (English PDF)

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting is required.

This document replaces GB/T 23106-2008 "Performance test methods for hair care appliances for household and similar purposes" and is consistent with GB/T 23106-Compared with 2008, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

--Added test methods for air volume, negative ion concentration of negative ion hair dryers, tension of hair straighteners, and service life test (see 5.5, 5.7, 5.8 and 5.10);

--Changed the test methods for heating time, temperature, drying rate, drop test, etc. (see 5.3, 5.4, 5.6 and 5.9, 2008 edition) 6.4, 6.5, 6.7 and 6.9).

This document is equivalent to IEC 61855:2022 "Performance test methods for hair care appliances for household and similar purposes".

The following minimal editorial changes were made to this document.

-- Incorporate the relevant contents of the determination of drying rate in the technical corrigendum of IEC 61855:2022/COR1.2024;

--Adjusted the structure of 5.5, added article titles and formula numbers;

--In order to facilitate the understanding and use of the standard, the notes that do not conform to my country's national conditions have been deleted, and some notes have been added or changed;

--Deleted the informative Appendix B "Supplier Address".

1 Scope

This document applies to hair drying and shaping appliances (including their accessories) for household and similar purposes.

This document identifies the principal performance characteristics of interest to users and describes the test methods for these characteristics.

Note 1.The devices applicable to this document are.

- Hair dryer;

--Hair curlers;

--Hair straightener.

This document does not specify performance requirements.

This document does not address safety requirements (IEC 60335-2-23).

This document does not apply to electric hair clippers and trimmers.

NOTE 2 For standards on performance test methods for electric hair clippers and trimmers, see IEC 62863.
