Scope
GB/T 22925-2009 is the English-translated version of 纳米技术处理服装.
GB/T 22925-2009 specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection and grading rules, and marking, packaging, transport and storage for clothing treated with nanotechnology.
It applies to functional garments made mainly from woven fabrics that acquire water repellency, oil repellency, soil release, antibacterial activity or UV protection through nanotechnology, and does not apply to clothing for infants and young children.
Requirements are graded superior, first and acceptable: functional indicators before and after 15 washes (water and oil repellency grades, UPF rating, antibacterial effect, soil release grade), physical indicators such as tear and breaking strength, seam slippage, peel strength and air permeability, a nanotechnology identification criterion, and safety requirements including skin irritation and sensitisation testing and a 5 mm inhibition-zone limit for antibacterial garments.
Test methods refer to GB/T 4745, GB/T 19977, GB/T 18830, GB/T 20944.1 and FZ/T 10012, with five normative annexes covering washing, seam slippage, seam strength sampling and nanotechnology identification.
