Foreword

The revised standard used by the US Pulp and Paper Association standards TAPPIT459om-2003 "paper surface strength (wax sticks fluff test)".

This standard compared with TAPPIT459om-2003, the main technical differences are as follows.

--- Adds a chapter principle;

--- Increasing the wax sticks schematic site name.

This standards based on "paper and paperboard - Determination of surface strength (wax Bar Method)," the former light industry standard QB/T 2594-2003 on.

The standard proposed by China National Light Industry Council.

This standard by the National Standardization Technical Committee of the paper industry.

This standard was drafted. China Pulp and Paper Research Institute, the national paper quality supervision and inspection center, China Paper Association Professional Committee of Standardization Members will.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.

To determine the surface strength of paper and cardboard. (fluff, hair loss, dusting, such as rupture), destruction by wax sticks adhesion to the surface of the specimen the critical wax sticks intensity level number (A) shows the results.

Adhesion wax sticks did not produce the maximum damage on the order paper grade numbers.

Principle 4

After heating the wax sticks in contact with the test specimen surface, vertical uprooted After cooling, relying on the role of the surface of the specimen adhesion damage occurs to the Pro Boundary wax sticks intensity level numbers to show the results.

5 Means for Testing and Materials

5.1 Heating device

Alcohol lamp.

5.2 Board

Wood length × width × thickness of 90mm × 40mm × 10mm, intermediate board having a pore diameter of 30mm round hole.

Workbench 5.3

Work surfaces should be hard, smooth and does not conduct heat. Countertop material should be wood, glass, metal or stone and other materials are not easy to rapid cooling should as countertops.
