Scope

GB/T 22369-2024 is the English-translated version of 玉米罐头质量通则.

GB/T 22369-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering corn canned whole, in segments or as kernels, from fresh milk-stage ears or from dry grain maize — the product types and their codes, the raw and auxiliary materials, the sensory grading that applies only to whole-ear and segment packs, the solid and net content, the test methods, the inspection rules, and the labelling, packaging, transport and storage; food safety limits sit outside it, in the safety standards. It replaces GB/T 22369-2008, which covered sweet corn only, and moves the tin, arsenic, lead and microbiological limits out to the food safety standards. In force from 1 December 2025. Issued on 28 November 2024, it has been in force since 1 December 2025, replacing GB/T 22369-2008.
