1 Scope

GB/T 21709.2-2021 is the Chinese national standard on standardized manipulations of acupuncture and moxibustion - part 2:scalp acupuncture, in the field of health care technology. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 26 November 2021 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 26 November 2021. 3.1 Scalpacupuncture Scalp Needle The treatment method of acupuncture on a specific part of the scalp.

3.2 Flat needling method transverseneedling Along the prickles Horizontal Needle When the finger is inserted into the needle, the needle body and the scalp acupoint line skin are pierced at about 15°.

3.3 Oblique needling When the finger is inserted into the needle, the needle body and the scalp acupoint line skin are pierced at about 30°.
