Scope
GB/T 21645.11-2017 is the English-translated version of 自动交换光网络(ASON)技术要求 第11部分:路径计算单元(PCE)及协议.
GB/T 21645.11-2017 is Part 11 of the Chinese national series of technical requirements for the Automatically Switched Optical Network (ASON), and covers the Path Computation Element (PCE) and its protocol.
It sets out the PCE functional architecture, implementation and deployment, and its path computation capability within a single domain, across multiple domains and across multiple levels.
It also specifies the PCE communication protocol (PCEP) with its message exchange and message definitions, PCE discovery, communication channels, and management, reliability, security and performance requirements.
Informative annexes deal with PCE in WSON networks, inter-layer path computation, backward recursive path computation (BRPC) across domains, PCE auto-discovery scenarios and path keys for path confidentiality.
It applies to ASON networks and equipment that use a PCE for path computation. It was issued on 12 May 2017 and has applied since 1 December 2017.
