This standard is identical with IEC 60092-401. 1980 "Electrical installations in ships - Part 401. Installation and test of completed" and 1987, 1997 amendment (in English).

This standard is equivalent translation IEC 60092-401. 1980 and 1987,1997 amendment (in English).

For ease of use, this standard made the following editorial changes.

a) "this International Standard" be replaced by "this standard";

b) Remove IEC 60092-401. 1980 Foreword and Introduction;

c) IEC 92 Number of publications to IEC 60092;

d) increasing the number and title of Table 2;

e) Remove the 38.3 "Performance provisions relating to such materials are still being studied." the standard proposed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation.

1 Scope

This standard applies to the installation and test of completed marine electrical equipment.
