4 Paper color layer separation weight method

4.1 Method summary

The sample is dissolved in hydrofluoric acid, and the solution is coated on the colored paper, with 4-methyl-2-pentanone-butanone-hydrofluoric acid-nitric acid as the developing agent, niobium element The element will move to the middle and upper part of the colored paper with the developing agent, while other impurities stay in place or move very little to achieve separation. Use a tannic acid solution Spray on the colored paper to develop color. Cut the niobium ribbon and determine the niobium content by gravimetric method.

4.2 Reagents and materials

Unless otherwise specified, only reagents and laboratory tertiary water confirmed to be analytically pure are used in the analysis.

4.2.1 Hydrofluoric acid (rho=1.14g/L).

4.2.2 Nitric acid (rho=1.42g/L).

4.2.3 Hydrofluoric acid (11).

4.2.4 Tannic acid solution (2%). Weigh 2g of tannic acid and dissolve it in water and dilute to 100mL.

4.2.5 Developing agent. prepare 4-methyl-2-pentanone-butanone-hydrofluoric acid-nitric acid in a ratio of 60 20 15 5 and mix well.

4.2.6 Color layer paper. chromatographic qualitative filter paper, cut into 20cm x 26cm rectangles.

4.2.7 Color layer box. a cylindrical plastic bucket with a diameter of about 30cm and a height of about 35cm with a lid.
