Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 20898.1-2007 "Immersion suits - Part 1: Safety requirements for regular wear clothing", GB/T 20898.2-2007 "Immersion suits - Part 1: Safety requirements for regular wear clothing" Immersion suits Part 2: Safety requirements for abandonment suits" and GB/T 20898.3-2007 "Immersion suits Part 3: Test methods", which is different from the previous version Compared with this edition, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Added the terms "underwear" and "cold shock" (see 3.14, 3.16);

b) Changed the requirements for partner rope, conspicuity, underwater thermal protection, etc. (see 4.4, 4.5, 4.10, 4.4, 4.5, 4.6 of GB/T 20898.1-2007) 4.11, 4.3, 4.4, 4.10 of GB/T 20898.2-2007);

c) Two additional skin temperature measurement points (see 5.9.2.2);

d) Deleted the average body temperature (see 3.8.2.2 of GB/T 20898.3-2007);

e) Added inspection rules (see Chapter 6);

f) Deleted the user information at the point of sale (see 5.3 of GB/T 20898.1-2007 and GB/T 20898.2-2007);

g) The appendices have been deleted (see Appendix A of GB/T 20898.1-2007, Appendix A and Appendix ZZ of GB/T 20898.2-2007).

1 Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and information to be provided by the manufacturer for immersion suits.

This document applies to the design, manufacture and inspection of dry and wet immersion suits.
