GB/T 20632.3-2022 — This Document gives classification and requirements for vulcanized fiber sheets for electrical purposes. This Document applies to design, manufacture and inspection, etc. of vulcanized fiber sheets for electrical purposes. Materials made by combining with multiple layers of vulcanized fiber are not covered by this Document. NOTE: Materials that conform to this specification meet established levels of performance. However, the selection of a material by a user for a specific application is based on the actual requirements necessary for adequate performance in that application and not based on this Document alone.

Foreword

This Document was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for

Standardization - Part 1: Rules for the Structure and Drafting of Standardizing Documents.

This Document is Part 3 of GB/T 20632. GB/T 20632 has published the following parts:

--- Vulcanized Fiber for Electrical Purposes - Part 1: Definitions and General Requirements;

--- Vulcanized Fiber for Electrical Purposes - Part 2: Methods of Test;

--- Vulcanized Fiber for Electrical Purposes - Part 3: Flat Sheets.

This Document modifies and adopts IEC 60667-3-1:2020 Vulcanized Fiber for Electrical

Purposes - Part 3: Specifications for Individual Materials - Sheet 1: Flat Sheets.

The technical differences and causes between this Document and IEC 60667-3-1:2020 are as

follows:

--- IEC 60667-1 (see Clauses 4 and 5) is replaced by the normatively quoted GB/T 20632.1

to adapt to China's technical conditions and improve operability;

--- The thickness deviation requirements when the thickness is greater than 12.0mm (see

Table 1) have been changed to meet the actual needs of China.

This Document made the following editorial modifications:

--- In order to coordinate with existing standards, change the name of the standard to

Vulcanized Fiber for Electrical Purposes - Part 3: Flat Sheets;

--- Correct the thickness of "internal ply adhesion" in Table 1 from "0.4" to "<=0.4".

1 Scope

This Document gives classification and requirements for vulcanized fiber sheets for electrical

purposes.

This Document applies to design, manufacture and inspection, etc. of vulcanized fiber sheets

for electrical purposes. Materials made by combining with multiple layers of vulcanized fiber

are not covered by this Document.
