Foreword

GB/T 20390 "Assessment of ignitability of textile bedding" is divided into two parts.

--- Part 1. Cigarettes are the source of ignition;

--- Part 2. The ignition source equivalent to the match flame.

This part is the first part of GB/T 20390.

This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part replaces GB/T 20390.1-2006 "Combustion performance of textile bedding Part 1. Cigarettes as ignition source

The flammability test method, compared with GB/T 20390.1-2006, the main differences are as follows.

--- Add a "warning" prompt before the first chapter;

--- Adding GB/T 17596, GB/T 19981.3, GB/T 19981.4 and GB/T 3291.3-1997 to the normative references

Four criteria (see Chapter 2);

--- Add ten terms definitions in terms and definitions (see Chapter 3);

--- Add "the actual use of the mattress can replace the test substrate" in the principle (see Chapter 4);

--- Increase the "ignition of smoldering cigarette within 1 hour" in the igniting of progressive smoldering [see 5.1b)];

--- The size of the wire plate is changed from "(400 +/- 50) mm" to "the size is at least 450 mm x 450 mm" (see 7.1,.2006)

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 20390 specifies the test method for assessing the ignitability of all bedding products when applying smoldering cigarettes.

This section applies to bedding placed on a mattress, such as.

--- Mattress cover;

--- Interlining;

--- Nursing list and nursing pad;

--- Bed sheets;

---blanket;

---Electric blankets;

---quilt and quilt cover;

---Pillows (regardless of the material of the filler) and long pillows;

---pillow case.

This section does not apply to mattresses, bed bases and mattresses.
