Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document is Part 4 of GB/T 20303 Crane Operator Cabs and Control Stations. GB/T 20303 has been published for the following part.

--- Part 1: General provisions;

--- Part 2: Mobile cranes;

--- Part 3: Tower cranes;

--- Part 4: Jib cranes;

--- Part 5: Bridge and gantry cranes.

This document replaces GB/T 20303.4-2006 "Crane operator's cabs - Part 4: Jib cranes" and GB/T 20303.4-Compared with 2006, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Added basic requirements (see Chapter 4);

b) Changed "driver's cab dimensions" to "minimum internal dimensions of the driver's cab" (see Figure 1, Figure 1 of the 2006 edition);

c) Added requirements for the cab structure and the connection between the cab and the jib crane (see 5.3);

d) Changed the seat size requirements (see Figure 2, Figure 2 of the 2006 edition);

e) Changed the requirements for the driver's seat (see Chapter 6, Chapter 4 of the 2006 edition);

f) Deleted the requirements for heating and cooling (see Chapter 6 of the 2006 edition);

g) Added protection requirements (see Chapter 8);

h) Added requirements for appearance quality (see Chapter 9).

This document is modified to adopt ISO 8566-4:1998 "Crane operator cabs — Part 4: Jib cranes".

This document has the following structural adjustments compared to ISO 8566-4:1998.

a) Added Chapter 3 "Terms and Definitions";

b) Adjust 3.1 of ISO 8566-4:1998 to Chapter 4 "Basic Requirements";

c) Chapter 6 corresponds to Chapter 4 of ISO 8566-4:1998, with "Heating and cooling" deleted;

d) Added Chapter 8 "Protection" and Chapter 9 "Appearance Quality";

e) Added informative Appendix A and references.

This document has many technical differences compared to ISO 8566-4:1998.

A list of these technical differences and their causes is given in Appendix A.

The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

a) The name of the standard is changed to "Crane cab and control station Part 4: Jib crane";

b) The formats of Figures 1 and 2 have been changed to comply with the requirements of GB/T 1.1-2020.

Introduction

GB/T 20303 Crane cab and control station plays a role in standardizing the structure and technical content of crane cab and control station.

It plays a positive role and aims to unify the requirements for domestic crane cabs and control stations. It consists of five parts.

--- Part 1: General. The purpose is to specify the general requirements for crane cabs and control stations.

--- Part 2: Mobile cranes. The purpose is to specify special requirements for the operator's cab and control station of mobile cranes.

--- Part 3: Tower cranes. The purpose is to specify special requirements for tower crane cabs and control stations.

--- Part 4: Jib cranes. The purpose is to specify special requirements for jib crane cabs and control stations.

--- Part 5: Bridge and gantry cranes. The purpose is to specify the special requirements for the operator's cab and control station of bridge and gantry cranes.

1 Scope

This document specifies the basic requirements for the operator's cab and control station of jib cranes as defined in GB/T 6974.1, as well as the cab structure, driver's cab and control station.

Requirements for aircraft seats, control components, protection and appearance quality.

This document applies to operator cabs and control stations used with jib cranes.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 6974.1, GB/T 6974.4 and GB/T 20303.1 apply to this document.

4 Basic Requirements

The operator's cab and control station of a jib crane shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 20303.1.

5 Driver's cab structure

5.1 The dimensions of the driver's cab shall not be less than the minimum interior dimensions of the driver's cab specified in Figure 1.

The net height should not be less than 1700mm, the net width should not be less than 1000mm, and the net depth should not be less than 1500mm.

5.2 The total volume of the driver's cab shall not be less than 3.1m3.When determining the volume and size, the number of workers allowed in the driver's cab shall be considered.
