Scope

GB/T 20200-2022 is the English-translated version of α-烯基磺酸钠.

GB/T 20200-2022 is the Chinese national standard for sodium alpha-olefin sulfonate, the anionic surfactant obtained by sulfonating C12~C18 single-carbon or mixed-carbon alpha-olefins with gaseous sulfur trioxide in a film sulfonation process.

It sets the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage of the product, and describes it as a mixture of sodium alkenyl sulfonate, sodium hydroxyalkyl sulfonate and sodium disulfonate.

Its test clauses cover active matter content, unsulfonated matter, sodium sulfate and colour, and cite GB/T 3143, GB/T 5173, GB/T 6365, GB/T 6682, GB/T 8170 and QB/T 4970.

The material it covers is used in washing and other fields. It replaces GB/T 20200-2006, was issued on 30 December 2022 and has applied since 1 July 2023.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 20200-2006 "Sodium alpha-Alkenyl Sulfonate". Compared with GB/T 20200-2006, except for structural adjustment and editing In addition to sexual changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Changed the color requirements (see 5.3, 4.3 of the 2006 edition);

b) The test method for active substance content (method 2) has been added (see 6.3.2);

c) Changed the test method for the content of unsulfonated substances (see 6.4, 5.3 of the 2006 edition);

d) Added the test method for sodium sulfate content (method 2) (see 6.5.2);

e) Changed the color test method (see 6.7, 5.6 of the 2006 edition);

f) Deleted "Colorimetric Method for Determination of Color of Sodium alpha-Alkenyl Sulfonate" (see Appendix A of the 2006 edition).

1 Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage.

This document is applicable to the production of single-carbon or mixed-carbon alpha-olefins with an alkane chain length of C12~C18 through the gas sulfur trioxide membrane sulfonation process. Sodium alpha-alkenyl sulfonate used in washing and other fields.

4 Classification and labeling

4.1 Structural formula

Sodium alpha-alkenyl sulfonate is mainly composed of sodium alkenyl sulfonate, sodium hydroxyalkyl sulfonate and sodium disulfonate. Sulfur Trioxide Membrane Among the alpha-alkenyl sodium sulfonates produced by the formula sulfonation process, the content of sodium alkenyl sulfonate is the highest, followed by sodium hydroxyalkyl sulfonate, and sodium disulfonate lowest. Sodium alkenyl sulfonate R-CH=CH-(CH2)n-SO3Na (n=0,1,2 mainly) Sodium Hydroxyalkyl Sulfonate R-CH-(CH2)n-SO3Na OH (n=2,3 mainly)
