Scope
GB/T 20014.21-2008 is the English-translated version of 良好农业规范 第21部分:对虾池塘养殖控制点与符合性规范.
GB/T 20014.21-2008 is Part 21 of GB/T 20014 on good agricultural practice and fixes the good agricultural practice requirements for penaeid shrimp pond culture.
Clause 1 states that it applies to determining whether penaeid shrimp pond culture complies with those requirements and allows other shrimp pond culture to follow it by reference, while the foreword directs that this part be used together with Part 13 on aquaculture bases and Part 14 on pond culture bases, both of which it also cites normatively along with the terminology in Part 1.
The introduction sets out the four areas the requirements address: management of food safety hazards using Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point methods to identify, evaluate and control them, with requirements on the site, the rational use of feed, shrimp health and disease prevention, shrimp medicines, production records and traceability; environmental protection for sustainable fishery development, obliging producers to comply with environmental regulations and standards and to maintain a sound ecological process in production; the occupational health, safety and welfare of employees; and animal welfare.
The same introduction grades every control point on three levels, level 1 being the HACCP-based food safety and animal welfare requirements directly bearing on food safety, level 2 adding basic environmental protection, employee welfare and animal welfare requirements on top of level 1, and level 3 adding continuous-improvement measures on top of levels 1 and 2.
Clause 3 adopts the terms of Parts 1, 13 and 14 and adds one definition, for male and female shrimp that have reached sexual maturity and are used to produce offspring, whose term name the draft does not print.
Clause 4 states the requirements as a table of numbered control points, each with its compliance requirement and its level, verified either by documents the shrimp farm supplies or by on-site inspection, and it begins with sites, facilities and equipment.
Its first items oblige the farm to investigate in detail the annual variation in water quality around the area before the site is built as a level 1 point, to survey the types and abundance of natural food organisms in the nearby waters and prefer a site where they are plentiful as a level 2 point, and to have a muddy or sandy, impermeable pond bottom, with anti-seepage and anti-acidification works built in sandy or acid-soil areas, as a further level 2 point.
It was proposed jointly by the Certification and Accreditation Administration and the Ministry of Agriculture, is administered by the Standardization Administration of China, and falls under ICS 65.150 and Chinese standard class B50. It was issued on 2008-02-01 and has applied since 2008-04-01.

Introduction
Food security is not only related to the health and safety of consumers, but also directly or indirectly affect the food, agricultural industry healthy growth. Thus, food safety is a primary requirement for all food chain engaged in food production, processing, storage and transportation organizations.
As an initial end of the food chain, the breeding process aquaculture products directly affect the level of safety of aquatic products and processed products. In order to achieve compliance with Laws and regulations and relevant standards to meet consumer demand, to ensure food security and promote sustainable development of agriculture in this part of the follow
GB/T 20014.13 premise and GB/T 20014.14, put forward the following requirements.
0.1 food safety hazard management
This part of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) methods to identify, evaluate and control food safety hazards. For prawn ponds Characteristics of pond farming on the site, the rational use of feed, disease prevention and healthy shrimp, shrimp medicine, aquaculture production records, and other proposed retroactive Claim.
0.2 Sustainable development of fisheries environmental protection requirements
This section presents the requirements for environmental protection by requiring producers to comply with environmental protection regulations and standards, and create a breeding aquatic production Benign ecological process, coordinating the relationship between farmed fish production and environmental protection.
0.3 Employee occupational health, safety and welfare requirements
This section presents the requirements of occupational health, safety and welfare.
0.4 Requirements Animal Welfare
This section presents the requirements for animal welfare.
This part of the contents of the terms of the control points is divided into three grades, and follow the principles in Table 1.
Table 1 Grade level content
1 is based on the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) food safety and animal welfare are directly related to all food safety requirements
2 is based on the basic requirements of Level 1 Control Point requirements of environmental protection, employee welfare, animal welfare
3 Based on Level 1 and Level 2 control points required for environmental protection, continued to improve staff welfare measures, animal welfare requirements
