Scope

GB/T 18916.45-2019 is the English-translated version of 取水定额 第45部分:再生涤纶产品.

GB/T 18916.45-2019 sets the water intake quota for the production of recycled polyester in China, with the terms and definitions, the calculation methods and the quota itself.

It defines a recycled polyester product as fibre-grade polyester foam and flakes, polyester filaments and polyester staple fibres processed from recycled PET.

Water withdrawal covers surface water, groundwater, town supply projects and bought water products such as steam, hot water and geothermal water, while the supply range covers main production - raw material crushing and cleaning, melt spinning, shaping - plus auxiliary and ancillary uses, and the amount taken is read from the primary meter.

It applies to existing, new and rebuilt plants making recycled polyester raw material, filaments and staple fibres. Part 45 of GB/T 18916, it was issued on 30 August 2019 and has applied since 1 December 2019.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 4146.1, GB/T 18820 and GB/T 21534 apply to this document.

3.1 Recycled polyester product

Fiber grade polyester foam, fiber grade polyester flakes, polyester filaments and polyester staple fibers processed with recycled polyester (PET).

4 Calculation method

4.1 General provisions

4.1.1 Scope of water withdrawal

The range of water withdrawal refers to the amount of water extracted by the enterprise from various conventional water sources, including from surface water (measured by water supply from the water purification plant), groundwater, The water supply project of the town, as well as the water quantity of other water or water products (such as steam, hot water, geothermal water, etc.) purchased by the enterprise from the market.

4.1.2 Water supply range

Renewable polyester product water supply range, including main production (raw material crushing, raw material cleaning, melt spinning, shaping, etc.), auxiliary Production (soft water station, boiler room, air compressor station, sewage station, etc.) and ancillary production (office building, canteen, bathroom, factory dormitory, plant greening, etc.).

4.1.3 Measurement of water withdrawal

The amount of water taken is based on the company's primary meter.

4.2 Water intake per unit of product

The water withdrawal per unit of recycled polyester product is calculated according to formula (1).
